“Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gaadha” - Entertainment guaranteed. This Nani starrer assures to make your family time a memorable one. KVPG is the story of an ardent lover and the journey he is forced to take to pursue his lady love. It may sound usual but director Hanu Raghavapudi makes it interesting with his strong screenplay and clear-cut characterisations.

Nani playing the title role of ‘Krishna’ impresses you in every frame. He is one performer who makes sure to travel along with the story and play around only in the room provided by the script. Nothing in the story looks force fitted to suite Nani or glorify him. KVPG does not boast about any heroism whereas it uplifts the title character in a justifying manner. The heroine, Mehrene Kaur Peerzada does a very neat job with her role.

The story is taken forward by multiple characters and every artist who is featured in the film lives up to the purpose of the character as penned by the writer. Appreciations due to Sampath, Harish Uthaman, Chatru, Murali Sharma and others.

Characters which were initially touted to be serious threat to the protagonist, convincingly attain a comical shade. This is KVPG’s USP undoubtedly. This is the outcome of the clarity the filmmaker has attained in his script table.

The first half of the film is extremely engaging and the idea of cutting a quick teaser of second half before breaking for interval is a brilliant one. Second half is slightly less engaging but the three adorable kids steal the show here.

Vishal Chandrasekhar is definitely becoming a musician who affirms quality and showcases expertise in setting the mood. Special mention to the “Nuvvante Na Nuvvu” which recurs in appropriate places as BGM and tickles the romantic side of you.

Randy’s assistant, Yuvraj’s debut work with the camera makes KVPG a treat visually. Gowtham Raju uses his scissors wisely and also plays a major role in pacing up the narration. The overall packaging of the film in terms of production value and quality is aesthetic.

KVPG, though a normal story, entertains its viewers with an extremely gripping screenplay. Don't expect a social message and also don’t await for the hero to turn into a good samaritan. It is a self centric tale of Krishna and his magnificent love story.

Verdict: Nani’s proverb (Gaadha) is definitely worth your time.
