JOURNALIST ATTACK ISSUE - SHANKAR APOLOGISES

Journalist Attack Issue - Shankar Apologises

Earlier today, we had reported that there was a complaint lodged against a few members of Shankar’s 2.0 team who were involved in a minor scuffle with a few journalists, who attempted to take some photographs of the shoot. The complaint was apparently filed in Ice House police station in Triplicane area in Chennai.

We now have information that Shankar himself had visited the Press Council office and had tendered his apology. It is said that he expressed his regret about the unfortunate incident which had happened without his knowledge. He had also ensured that there would not be a repeat of such incidents

Since he had personally visited the Press Council and expressed his regret, the complaint given by the journalists was withdrawn on the basis of goodwill. All is well that ends well!

RAJINI'S BREAKING STATEMENT: I'M AN ACTOR, NOT A POLITICIAN

Rajini's Breaking statement: I'm an actor, Not a Politician

We had earlier reported that Superstar Rajinikanth would be going to Sri Lanka on the 9th of April for the Gnanam Foundations 150 Houses opening ceremony. Raju Mahalingam, of Lyca Productions, also confirmed the same in his Twitter handle.

But the latest official statement from Rajinikanth has come, stating that he would not be attending the ceremony. His statement read, "I was supposed to go to Sri Lanka, for the house opening ceremony, and apart from that I also planned to meet the Sri Lankan President, Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, and talk to him about the inhumanely killings of Tamil Nadu fishermen.

However, Mr. Thol Thirumavalavan, Mr. Vaiko and Mr.Velmurugan, through various means, requested me not to go there and attend the function, based on few political reasons. Though their reasons weren't convincing, I accept their humble request and decided not to attend the function in Sri Lanka.

I again want to remind, that I am an actor, not a politician. My main job is to make people happy and entertain through my films. In the future, if I get a chance to visit Sri Lanka for meeting our people, I request you all, not to make politics out of it and stop me again from visiting the country. Jai Hind"

RED HOT: RAJINIKANTH'S HOT POLITICAL DECISION

Red Hot: Rajinikanth's Hot Political Decision

Every time there is an election in Tamil Nadu, people wonder who a star like Superstar Rajinikanth is supporting. This upcoming by election in RK Nagar constituency in Chennai is the latest hot topic in the city and superstar himself has taken to his Twitter account to reveal who his support is for, this time

Rajinikanth tweeted, ''My support is for no one in the coming elections''. This is sure to cause a roar on social media and many other celebrities have already started retweeting this and supporting his move.

It must be noted that photo of music composer/director Gangai Amaran, who is the BJP candidate in RK Nagar by poll, with Rajinikanth was going viral. This generally gave an impression that Rajinikanth is supporting the National party in the by-election which must have made the Superstar tweet about his stance.

EXCLUSIVE : NAYANTHARA'S DORA IN A STORY THEFT ISSUE?

Exclusive : Nayanthara's Dora in a story theft issue?

Nayanthara starrer Dora, which is all set to hit the screens on the 31st of March has made it’s way into an issue that is not so happy for the makers. According to some rumours, Dora, directed by Doss Ramasamy is said to have the exact same story of director Arun’s yet to kick start film “Neeyum Naanum”. Arun is a former assistant of director RK Selvamani.

This yet to begin movie is to be produced by RK Selvamani himself but got shelved. To get some clarity regarding the story plagiarism case, we contacted director RK Selvamani. This is what he had to say:

“As soon as an issue popped up, I contacted Doss and asked him for his story. When comparing both the stories, only the core concept of the car and revenge was the same. Apart from this, the two stories do not seem to be similar.”

When we contacted director Doss Ramasamy, he said, “I do not know how this issue sprang up. My story is my own and is not a rip off. Anyone can make a film based on revenge and a car. A car is a common thing and I really don’t understand why I was pulled into this story theft issue.”

To finally also get director Arun’s perspective, we contacted him but he did not wish to comment on this story plagiarism issue.

WOW! A ‘THARA LOCAL’ TREAT FROM AR RAHMAN AFTER A LONG TIME!

Wow! A ‘Thara Local’ treat from AR Rahman after a long time!

AR Rahman is known for producing music that is universally appealing. We don’t see him composing music for mass commercial track or a ‘kuthu’ songs of late. It doesn’t mean he had never done that at all. Who can forget folk numbers like ‘edhukku pondatti’ and ‘kattum selai madippula’? Though he apparently has not tried his hands on a full-fledged ‘kuthu’ number, he had used ‘kuthu’ music for BGMs in films like 24, Varalaru and other films.

AR Rahman has said that he had intentionally avoided using hard rock guitars in his music until his Hindi album Rockstar. Likewise, he could purposefully be avoiding ‘kuthu’ music. Of course, the film's demand is of utmost importance and probably none of his recent films enabled him to score a local mass number.

But now our sources say that the introduction song of GV Prakash - Rajiv Menon film, Sarvam Thaala Mayam will be a local track which goes by the name, “Peter.”

How excited are you to listen to a mass track coming from a brand like AR Rahman?

SHOCKING CONTROVERSY : ILAYARAJA SENDS LEGAL NOTICE TO SP BALASUBRAMANIAM?

Shocking controversy : Ilayaraja sends legal notice to SP Balasubramaniam?

Legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam took to his Facebook page to say that he has received a legal notice from an attorney representing music director Ilayaraaja for singing his songs in a concert.

“Dear all, Greetings from US. Had great shows in Seattle and LA last weekend. Grateful for the love you all showered upon us and the professional way the organizers conducted the shows.

Couple of days back, an Attorney representing Shri.Iliaya Raja, sent legal notices to me, Smt.Chithra, Charan, organisers of the concerts in different cities and the managements of all the venues, which says that we are not supposed to perform compositions of Shri.Iliayaraja without his permission, if so, it is breaking the copyright law and have to pay huge financial penalities and face legal action. Let me say, I am ignorant of these legalities.

My Son designed this world tour andwekick started this SPB50 conncert tour in August in Toranto, then we performed in Russia, Srilanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and did lots of shows in India too. I did not get any feelers from Shri. Raja's office at that time. I dont know why now when we started our US tour. As I said earlier, I am ignorant of the law. If it is a law, so be it and I obey it.

In these circumstances, our troupe cannot perform Isaijnani's compositions from to day. But the show should happen.By God'sgrace I have sung lots of other composer's songs too which we will present. Hope you all will bless our concerts as usual. I am always grateful for your love and affection.

I only request you all not to have any harsh opinions and discussions regarding this. If this is the design of God, I obey it with reverence.

Dear friends, I could have certainly talked to him, had he talked or sent a mail to me prior to our tour. But when I get a legal notice, either I have to respond legally, which I never want to, or, accept the law. I too have self-respect. Please let us stop the futile discussion and move ahead.

My intention of this information is to prepare the audience. I do not want my good friend Shri Raja inconvenienced.I do not want my sponsors and concert organizers to get hurt sentimentally and financially. Thank you.”

EXCLUSIVE: "THEY HAVE BEEN TWISTING MY REPORT", DOCTOR CLARIFIES ON DHANUSH'S PATERNITY CASE

Exclusive:

In the ongoing paternity dispute case where an elderly couple Kathiresan and Meenakshi have claimed that Dhanush is their son, the stage had come where birth marks on the body of the actor had to be examined and corroborated with those claimed by the couple.

The court had appointed two doctors to examine the birth marks and they had come out with a report that says that the identification marks stated by the elderly couple are not on the actor’s body.

We quote below a few points from the report given by the doctors
I. With regard to first query, there is no mole over the left collar bone and there is no scar in left elbow.
2. With regard to second query, it is possible to remove a small superficial mole completely but a scar cannot be removed by plastic surgery and only scar reduction can be done.
3. With regard to third query, a very small superficial mole can be removed by laser technique without any trace. A removed large mole, traces can be seen by Dermascope but a scar cannot be removed by modern plastic surgery only a scar reduction can be done.

When we spoke to Madurai Medical College Dean about this case he was reluctant to reveal anything more about this issue, "I had already submitted my report to the court. Media have been twisting my reports and carrying their own versions of the issue. Some news is contradictory to my report".

" I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO 2.0, BUT..."

K.V.Anand, before entering direction, he was a renowned cinematographer who worked with ace directors like Shankar.

Behindwoods had an interview with the cinematographer turned filmmaker, and when we asked him if he would get back to cinematography again, the Kavan director said, "I was supposed to do 2.0, but, since Shankar asked for more than one year of time (the script demanded too), I couldn't do that film. I was also pretty much occupied with pre-production works of Kavan. Even now, if someone approaches me with a good script, and if it will be a visually appealing film, I am open to do it."

This reply coming from the man himself would definitely make people happy in knowing that the cinematographer inside K.V.Anand is still eager to work in the same capacity.
