Social platforms are abuzz with the fact that a pirated version of 24 was recorded in a popular multiplex in Bangalore and a copy of the same has been identified by the crew. To revolt against the piracy virus, 24’s distributor Gnanavel Raja is touted to be going on an indefinite hunger strike from today 13th May 2016 in the producer’s council.

Now talks in the tinsel town suggest that P Vasu might be bringing his recent Kannada hit Shivalinga as Chandramukhi 2 to Tamil. There are also reports that Vedhika who was the heroine in Shivalinga may be reprising her role in the Tamil version too. Earlier on we had reported that Lawrence has been approached to do Chandramukhi 2. Now we hear that Vadivelu may join Lawrence for this venture.

Vikram K Kumar, the brain behind Suriya’s 24 is media friendly and takes every feedback seriously. “We collectively decided to trim the film as most of the viewers felt that there was a slight lag in the romance sequence” said the director.

When we contacted 24 film’s editor Prawin Pudi and asked him about the missing scenes, this is what he had to say “In the film, paragliding is Mani’s (Suriya) hobby. It initially featured an intro scene for Mani where he is paragliding as part of National Day celebrations which got cut due to time constraints. It would probably feature in 24 part 2”.
