The official statement has come finally! A proud moment for the Indian cinema! Yes, the Rajamouli directorial, Baahubali 2 has become the first ever Indian film to gross over 1000 crore.

Baahubali team's official Twitter handle tweeted, "This day will be remembered in the India Cinema History. Thank you all for your great support.. #1000croreBaahubali."

Baahubali 2 has achieved this record on its 10th day at the box office, and with the Summer holidays, the film is expected to make more merry at the box office.

Ramya Krishnan who played the role of Sivagami in Baahubali did absolute justice to the character. But, do you know the character initially went to Lady Superstar Sridevi? Yes, if sources are to be believed SS Rajamouli approached Sridevi for the Sivagami character, and it is believed due to high remuneration the producers had to give up on Sridevi.

Sivagami character had a substantial impact on the film, it was both critically acclaimed and loved by the fans. But, what if Sridevi would have done that role? It would have been a perfect film after English Vinglish for her. Well, all that we can say is Sridevi missed being part of such a prestigious film while Ramya Krishnan just grabbed the opportunity to the fullest.

As reported earlier Sundar C’s magnum opus historical project Sangamithra produced by Thenandal Studios Limited (TSL) will be launched at Cannes Film Festival on the 18th May 2017.

Now we are told that this film will be made in 2 parts similar to Baahubali. TSL’s spokesperson confirmed this news and also added that there would be more details post-Cannes event regarding the commencement and release plans of Sangamithra.

With AR Rahman roped in to take care of the music department, and Tirru handling the cinematography, the audience would be assured of some rich visuals and thumping musical score.

Red Giant Movies is one among the top production banners in Tamil Nadu right now. They made big films with stars like Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Suriya. One top star that they would like to produce a film with, would be Ajith. Udhayanidhi Stalin, the founder of Red Giant Movies, talks to Behindwoods about when he will produce a film with Ajith Kumar.

“If Ajith calls me, I am ready to start the project even tomorrow. But everything needs to fall into place. I have met him in the past regarding this. He told me that he would call me when the time comes and we could do a film in the future. I planned an idea and approached him again; I got the same reply. Looks like it is going to be the epic season! Yes, we are already having two big epics in the form of Sangamithra (Tamil) and Mahabharata (Malayalam), and now it has been confirmed that there is going to be another epic historical flick based on Ramayana.

Titled as Ramayan, this film is going to be shot with 3D camera and will be released in three parts. The film is touted to be made in three languages, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. This historical epic is being planned to be made on a whopping budget of 500 crores by Allu Aravind, Namit Malhotra (Prime Focus) and Madhu Mantena.

Baahubali 2 is having a dream run at the box office and now with Ramayan shaping up as a new project, looks like it is going to be the new trend.

Baahubali 2 is having a phenomenal run at the worldwide box office including USA, UK, Dubai and other countries.

But reports started to come in claiming that the screening of Baahubali 2 in gulf countries is going to be stopped by tonight. When we contacted the Gulf distributor of Baahubali 2, he was unavailable to comment.

However, we got in touch with VOX Cineplex, one of the most popular theatres in Dubai. One of the representatives from VOX confirmed that the issue is true. He said, "Yes, the issue is only with the three languages, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The Hindi version will run as per plans. We will stop screening from tomorrow as there are some technical issues, and the last show will be today. The shows might be resumed only after the technical glitches are sorted out."

We hope the issue is solved as soon as possible as the film is doing great business even in foreign markets.

Prabhas, the most happening star at present, is celebrating the success of Baahubali 2. The movie has already grossed 1000 crore and is the first Indian film to do so. On the other hand, we get to see a video of Kangana Ranaut confessing that she used to quarrel a lot with Prabhas when they both did 'Ek Niranjan', in a lighter note.

At a time, when Prabhas is riding on a popularity wave, this throwback comes to us as a surprise. Kangana in the video, when asked by a reporter about Prabhas, says that they both used to fight a lot on the sets of 'Ek Niranjan' and also stopped talking with each other. However, she also said she watched Baahubali and was proud of Prabhas for his hard work in the film.

We do not know the reason for the fight between the two stars but, all that we hope is to see them coming together again to entertain the masses.

The much-awaited teaser of Vivegam released this morning at 12.01 AM, which instantly went viral over the social media. The teaser is being raved for Ajith's screen presence, massy attitude and the classy visuals.

The teaser also had a small rap portion, composed by Anirudh. It was speculated that this rap theme is the song crooned by Yogi B. However, the popular rapper clarified that the song used in the teaser was not the song he crooned for. He tweeted, "No it's not. Thala rocking tho. That's not my voice, but the rocker sounds great! This is a week of good news for Ajith fans and all the other Tamil film buffs. Vivegam teaser that was released on May 11th has clocked 10 Million views (backend time data) in 68 hours. The exact numbers will reflect in the YouTube video very soon.

This exhilarating 57-second teaser gave a fist-pumping feel to all Thala fans which made everyone watch the teaser more than once. It must be noted Kabali is the fastest Tamil film teaser to cross 10 million views. It took 3 days while Vivegam’s teaser has done it in a record time.

It must be noted that this is Ajith’s first teaser to cross 10 million YouTube views.

Though SS Rajamouli has stated that his work for Baahubali franchise is completely over, latest reports from Hindi media circle suggest that Baahubali 3 is supposedly in the planning stage.

Both Rajamouli and his father have earlier stated that they have concluded the franchise and they hardly have anything left to present in regards to Baahubali story. But Baahubali 2’s gargantuan success have supposedly led to the talks for a possible sequel. Reports suggest Karan Johar and Shobu Yarlagadda have initiated the discussion with SS Rajamouli to make a sequel.

Though SS Rajamouli has not shown a big interest in making another part, he has immense respect for both Karan Johar and Shobu. Now it looks like Vijayendra Prasad is seriously trying to build another story from Baahubali franchise and if they could come with a really exciting script and if Shobu and Karan Johar decides to fund the project, Baahubali 3 might be made, says the latest report.
