It was a heartwarming father-son moment when AR Rahman co-presented the award for 'Behindwoods Gold Mic Best Promising Artist' to his son AR Ameen. Just like father, Ameen is a man of few words, but his music communicated a lot more. When asked about Ameen's shy demeanour, ARR replied "When I was young, I got exposed to many experiences. I used to play for marriages, concerts, colleges and much more. But, in Ameen's case, he is under constant media glare. So he is in a shell. Even I used to tell him to perform in public, but he refuses due to public attention."
AR Rahman also nudged Ameen to sing a few lines from his upcoming English album, for which Ameen obliged to and sung the first few lines.
