Vishal earned the place of a new-gen massy action hero with his endering performance as Balu, the youngster on the run in the Lingusamy-directed Sandakozhi, a film that was a shot in the arm for director Lingusamy and music director, Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film was a major success amongst family audiences and hardcore lovers of action films.
