This title song from the album by Chennai Street Band, is what helped them end up as the composers of the month, as Thaikkudam Bridge comes second despite having the two best songs of the month. This song is entirely about its brilliant arrangement and instrumental solos of violin and veena. In my opinion the weak link is the lead’s vocal abilities. The song takes a turn from a traditional southern melody to a Jamaican reggae without sounding weird. The song ends very well with its violin, veena and percussions ensemble coming together.
