This is was another of Oviya's best qualities. To be oneself and not change or act for others was something that was often discussed by the contestants themselves, but whether it was done in practice remained debatable.

Julie's biggest criticism was this. She often seemed to bend and change her self-depending on who she was with instead of being the same throughout. Haarathi even raised a question: Were none of them genuine? Were all of them being fake?

Lesson: Being genuine is tricky, as it is a fine line between being the same to everyone and being polite, nice or diplomatic. However, do not be fake because it is being someone you are not.
