"VIJAY SETHUPATHI FEELS NERVOUS"

Rekka which sees Vijay Sethupathi joining hands with director Rathina Shiva, had its audio launch today, on the 25th of September. The event was organized at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai, with celebrities like actor Sathish, Harish Uthaman, director K.S.Ravikumar, director Magizh Thirumeni and many others attending.

Producer Ganesh who began the event with a welcome note thanked the press and media for making their presence to the event. He also thanked fans of Vijay Sethupathi for promoting this film. Post his welcome note, something unusual happened. All the technicians (from cook to assistant director) who worked in the film were called up to the stage and they were felicitated by the producers.

After the trailer was screened, the event started with the speech of Amma Creations T.Siva. He shared interestingly, "Eetti was supposed to be done by Vijay Sethupathi but he called Atharvaa and said this is tailor made for him and not for me".

Director Magizh Thirumeni said, “I'm a big fan of Vijay Sethupathi's acting and the industry owes him a lot for his commitment". He also added, "I am a big fan of Imman's music. I have saved all his collections".

K.S.Ravikumar praised Vijay Sethupathi's acting skills and he said, "Though I'm as old as his brother, I agreed to act as his father only because I wanted to act with him".

Editor Praveen KL said, "Vijay Sethupathi has done mass in his own way of acting. I am sure people are gonna enjoy it".

Actor Sathish who started his speech with his signature one-liners said, "I watched Aandavan Kattalai yesterday. The scene where he comes walking like a king gave me goosebumps. I request him as a fan, on behalf of his fans to do ‘mass’ films more often"

Music Director Imman said, "Not only the song, the movie is also made "VIRU VIRU".

Director Rathina Shiva said, "Everyone in the industry knows how a director would be treated when his film has not been released. But Vijay Sethupathi said I like your story and we are doing it. I will be grateful to him forever and ever. Let us talk more on the success meet."


Vijay Sethupathi came into the stage amidst huge noise and whistles.The whistles did not stop until he requested to stop it. He said, "I am feeling nervous". He then said, "Everyone is questioning why am I having back to back releases. Dharmadurai went out last week. Aandavan Kattalai released this week and here I am for releasing Rekka's audio. I wanted to clear that this was never planned and it just happened." He also added, "We didn't get the call sheet of Sathish until my character name was changed into Shiva in the movie".

The event ended with a beautiful thank you note to the all the celebrities present and the vibrant audience.
