Parthiban’s Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga, which was scheduled to release on Dec 30th was eventually postponed to January 12th to release along with Bairavaa. But now, the film’s release has been pushed by two days to 14th of January, on the Pongal day.
We caught up with the captain of the ship, Parthiban to know the reason behind this two-day delayed release. “We couldn’t get enough screens due to the grand release of Bairavaa. Vijay is a powerful star, theatre owners get the film for a huge amount, and the audience would also want to watch the FDFS of Bairavaa. It is a proud moment for them. Apart from this, Hollywood film XXX and G.V.Prakash’s Bruce Lee are also there, which makes the release tougher for smaller films. As I always say, only when people encourage small-scale films, cinema will grow. It will add up to the festive mood. As of today’s scenario, we are releasing KIN on 14th January, but the situation might change tomorrow or day after. If the film has to be postponed further, I am planning to release the film on February 30th.”, Parthiban signed off sarcastically.
Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga has Shanthnu Bhagyaraj and Parvathi Nair playing the lead roles, while Parthiban himself and Thambi Ramaiah will be seen in pivotal roles.
