Its Bairavaa fever all over and lyricist Vivek who had penned the bonus song Kaadhal Kudil from the film had tweeted, “#KaadhalKudil-the #BairavaaBonusSong is abt family n precious dreams. Its my 25th song wit SaNa sir #SaNaVivek25”. He throws light on the song and also on his precious association with music composer Santhosh Narayanan.
25 songs with a composer
I have written more than 25 songs for Santhosh sir but Kaadhal Kudil is the 25th song to be released in our combo. This is also my first film with Vijay sir.
Notable ones
Some of my important songs with Santhosh sir are Poo Avizhumpozhudhu (Enakkul Oruvan), Vaadee Rasathi (36 Vayadhinile), 4 songs from Irudhi Suttru, 3 songs from Manidhan, 5 songs in Iraivi, a rap portion in Kabali and Suzhali in Kodi to name a few.
Working with Santhosh Narayanan
I have absolute comfort with Santhosh sir. I respect music a lot and love writing to the tunes. I enjoy capturing the elements in it (tunes) and taking the soul to the listeners. Santhosh sir is someone who would bring out the soul from the lyrics through his music. So, either ways, we love working with each other. For example, the Manidhi number was written and then tuned. Vaadee Rasathi was written to the tune. We have done both ways. We know the working pattern of each others. He always tries to churn out something different in music and I try to match up to his quest by bringing out new words such as Suzhali (Kodi), Manidhi and the likes. He always encourages writing a lot in Tamil.
What is Bairavaa song all about?
The song is about the value and importance of family. It talks about what happens when the understanding in the family increases; the perception of a young mind when his/her dreams are precious. The song will be in two halves. Saranam deals about the dreams of a young mind and the pallavi is more about the family.
