Dhuruvangal 16, the impressive crime thriller, directed by 22 year old Karthick Naren, starring Rahman in the lead has been getting rave reviews. The film, which started off with just 48 shows in Chennai city in its first week, has had a phenomenal increase to 168 shows now.
This feat is clearly through word of mouth and good reviews. D-16 has moved out from the smaller halls to the biggest main screens in all the multiplexes across the city.
According to Behindwoods box office analysis, the movie has collected Rs. 1,04,38,775 in it’s 2nd week and has got a super hit verdict. When a small film like D-16 does so well, it shows how audiences appreciate good content and a quality product.
This reception is a warm welcome to a good attempt from a relatively young team and D16 must be the apt dark horse of the year 2016.
