SHANKAR TO DO JEANS 2 AFTER 2.0?

Prashanth’s Saagasam hits the screens today, the 5^th of February. Having debuted with Vaigasi Porandhachu, the actor has been a part of good films like Thiruda Thiruda, Jeans, Kannedhirae Thondrinaal, Star, Majnu, Virumbugiren to name some.

Recently the actor disclosed to behindwoods that one of his upcoming projects will be Jeans 2. Directed by Shankar, Jeans released in the year 1998, had the actor romancing former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. The film was a great commercial hit and was known for its music by AR Rahman. It was one of those films that explored CG work very effectively.

Now if Jeans 2 would be made, it would be interesting to know if director Shankar would take up this project. The director is currently busy with 2.0 which would easily take some time to complete taking into account the enormity of the project. One would also want to know if Aishwarya Rai could come aboard this flick because the actress has limited her assignments.

At a time when sequels and remakes are the fad, it would be interesting to know the details of a sequel for a film like Jeans as it was a much loved film by the audience. Send in your suggestions for the cast.
