Baahubali team recently had an interaction with the students of British Film Institute (BFI), where the team opened up on how this project grew into this mammoth scale and how the whole project was pulled off.
During the interaction, Shobu Yarlagadda, the producer of Baahubali 2 was asked how Arka Media Works got into this huge project and if they didn't feel any risk in investing a huge amount in this project. For that, Shobu replied, "It didn't start out like 450 crores (laughs). If it did start out that way, we wouldn't have started the project. But, the thing is, we wanted to do it on a large scale canvas with a big budget, and we were prepared for it.
You can't stop in between when you know the results when you are seeing the output, and when you know it is going to be a one of a kind film. That kept us going. For the first part, definitely yes, there was a risk in investing in the project; you are afraid, but you have to put it aside and keep going, thinking its all or nothing."
