Vinoth wrote and directed the story, screenplay and script. Ghibran composed music with Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film was produced by Zee Studios in association with Boney Kapoor. Valimai was announced to be released on Zee5 OTT from March 25. Available in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu. Zee5 recently officially announced this.

In this situation, the Chennai High Court has given a verdict on the prevailing case of opposition against Valimai being released on OTT. On 25.3.2022, the Chennai High Court refused to ban the publication of the Valimai film on the OTT site. The case against H. Vinoth came up for hearing in the bench of Judge Senthil Kumar Ramamurthy. Judge Senthil Kumar Ramamurthy refused to grant the injunction, saying that no preliminary case of copyright infringement had been registered by the petitioner. Advocate Vijayan Subramanian appeared for Director H. Vinod.
