Karthi was speculated to do a Tamil - Telugu bilingual film with Udugula Venu, director of the recently acclaimed Telugu film, 'Needi Naadi Oke Katha'. But, the Theeran actor has now officially denied the same, as a baseless rumour.


Official statement from Karthi's side, says "It has been refuted as a baseless rumour by Karthi, claiming that no one has approached him regarding such a project.
 

Recently, Karthi completed shooting for ‘Kadaikutty Singam’, directed by Pandiraj and produced by Suriya under 2D Entertainment. As soon as the Tamil cinema strike is called off, the shooting of his tentatively titled 'Karthi 17' will go on full swing."
