How has Remo performed compared to other biggies?

Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo was given a Blockbuster tag in Behindwoods' Chennai city box-office report last week. Staying true to its tag, Remo continues to do well by occupying all the main screens in Chennai city.

According to Behindwoods’ estimated box office numbers, Remo has thus far collected an approximate 6,46,70,294 Rs by the end of its 3rd weekend. This is phenomenal, to say the least.

We have jotted down other top performing films in Chennai (total collection by the end of 3rd weekend) that have been released over the past 24 months. These figures are based on Behindwoods estimated figures and not the official ones. The number of shows that each film has retained by the end of its 3rd weekend is mentioned in brackets.

1. Kabali - 10,27,29,825 (Shows - 213)
2. I - 8,82,47,125 (Shows - 207)
3.
Theri - 8,76,97,254 (Shows - 276)
4. Kaththi - 6,70,98,734 (Shows - 165)
5. Remo - 6,46,70,294 (Shows - 237)
6. Vedalam - 6,34,65,383 (Shows - 189)
7. Iru Mugan - 5,67,58,223 (Shows - 117)

It must be noted that Vedalam was severely affected by floods which had a huge effect on its overall Chennai city collection.
