Ganesh Venkatraman talks about his next film Inayathalam

Cyber crimes are on the rise and Inayathalam is an upcoming film which is going to have this as its core. Ganesh Venkataraman who plays the lead in the film talks about the same.

“As the name suggests, it is about websites, social media and cyber crimes. There are many crimes which are happening through the internet. As of now, we have not seen a story in Tamil  cinema which is deeply delving into these aspects. It is about a case which baffles the entire investigation system.

I play a special investigation officer and I will be working with the cyber crime officials played by Shweta Menon and Erode Mahesh. There is no romantic thread in the film. It will be an edge of the seat thriller and a new age kind of storytelling.

Directors Shankar and Suresh are helming the project. Suresh is a doctor and Shankar has a high expertise in IT. I learnt through Shankar about ethical hacking, cyber crimes and also bank frauds. He shared a lot of information and it was all new to me. They have been inspired by many real life events and the story is a reflection of such incidents

The film will also talk about social media obsessions which are leading to a lot of disorders. Instead of being in the moment, we are all changing without realizing its bad effects. The repercussions could be multiple. These things are discussed in a subtle way.

Music is by Arrol Correli, Karthik Raja is the DoP. Delhi Ganesh, Sukanya and Badava Gopi play key supporting roles.

We have shot for two days and will resume after Aadi. Entire shoot will happen in Coimbatore".

Wish you the best Ganesh!
