Dhanush officially announces his second directorial film

We had earlier reported that Dhanush would be making his second directorial film for Thenandal Studios Limited, who produced Vijay's Mersal.


Now, the Maari actor has officially confirmed the same news through his tweet. He has stated that he would be playing the lead role in this venture, which would be his 37th project as an actor. Dhanush tweeted, "As speculated my next directorial venture will be with @ThenandalFilms #dd2. Will also be playing the lead actor..#d37 More updates in 2018! @Hemarukmani1 @MuraliRamasamy4 @aditi1231 #LookingForward!"

Through Hema Rukmani's tweet, it is more or less confirmed that this film will be a historical period biggie. "The multitalented @dhanushkraja ‘s  next directorial will be with us ! #D will play the lead role in this spectacular larger than life opus. More exciting updates in 2018 ! Dhanush starrer Enai Noki Paayum Thotta's song picturised today in Chennai Memorial Hall, near Central Railway Station

The most-awaited Dhanush starrer Enai Noki Paayum Thotta directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is in its final stage of production. Two singles from the album have already been received well, and the makers are all set to release their third single, on coming December 31st.

Meanwhile, our close sources reveal that one of the songs in the film was apparently picturised today in Chennai Memorial Hall, near Central Railway Station with Megha Akash and Dhanush taking part in it. The film is said to release very soon, next year 2018.
