Ashutosh Rana continues to shoot Motta Siva Ketta Siva despite his dad's demise

The shoot of Motta Siva Ketta Siva is happening presently in Hyderabad at a brisk clip and the unit is shooting day and night aiming for a May 2016 release. Baddie Ashutosh Rana joined the sets and was to begin his part yesterday (23rd January) when he got the sad news of his dad’s demise in Bhopal.

Talking about this, director John Mahendran who is working in the film says, “It was Ashutosh’s intro sequence yesterday. He plays a political leader in the film and the scene required a huge gathering of around 500 people and it was a massive set up. We also got the dates of other co-stars like Vamsi Krishna. The spot was ready when we heard the sad news.

Immediately director Sai Ramani and Lawrence Master cancelled the shoot to enable Ashutosh to leave for Bhopal. But the professional that he is, Ashutosh just asked for 30 minutes to join us and did not want the shoot to be cancelled. Despite telling it was okay for him to leave, Rana honored his commitment, stayed on to complete his portions for the day until 6 PM when he had to leave for the airport. Even while shooting, he was not compromising and sat only after he was satisfied.

The humane aspect was that the entire unit respected his grief and was totally silent. Usually, shooting spots are the noisiest ones, but somehow, everyone from the light men to top artists, all of them were solemn and went about their business silently respecting Rana’s sentiment.

Rana would be back on Tuesday as the next 15 days are allotted for his portions. He is truly a professional. The entire production team, Lawrence master and director Sai Ramani took care of him well too.”
