AR Murugadoss Mahesh Babu Spyder Teaser review

First of all, Behindwoods wishes superstar Mahesh Babu, a very happy birthday. Celebrating this special day, director AR Murugadoss and team have released the first teaser of their film, Spyder. Other than Mahesh Babu, the film's teaser also features stars SJ Suryah as the antagonist, Rakul Preet Singh as Mahesh Babu's love interest and RJ Balaji in an important role.

The primary focus of the teaser has been Mahesh Babu and SJ Suryah. The antagonist has been sketched with a simple, yet powerful, psychotic character and SJ Suryah, seems to be the perfect fit for the role. Mahesh Babu's character appears to be that of an investigative officer, who of course, plots against the villain. The SJ Suryah utters the opening dialogue in which he says that he is a nemesis in the downfall of the population, along with the government, and other natural forces. This gives us an opinion that he could be a psycho killer, trying to wage a bio-war against the country.

The production value looks majestic, yet there seems to be a slight lack of quality, in terms of computerized graphics. ARM is known for his usual method of creating characters who are larger than life, and he has done just the same while sketching Shiva (Mahesh Babu), and SJ Suryah's character. Harris Jayaraj's music sounds haunting with regards to the theme. There is a small portion featuring the lead heroine, which seems completely unnecessary in this power-packed teaser. Will Rakul's role have negligible importance in this good vs bad action film? We need to wait and watch.

A good aspect of the teaser is the fact that Mahesh Babu has dubbed for himself in Tamil! Overall, a mediocre teaser, which still manages to promise an engaging screenplay.
