U/A, WHAT A SURPRISE?

Visaranai directed by Vetri Maaran has come out of censor certification with a U/A which has surprised quite a few.

The film, as suggested by the trailer and also as showcased in film festivals, had revealed a raw, intense and hard-hitting portrayal of happenings in a jail involving alleged convicts and police force.

Director Vetri Maaran had also stated some time back that it is alright to get an A certification without any cuts.

Now with the censor giving the film a U/A certificate, one is not sure if the frames or dialogues are mitigated. We would have to wait for the film’s release which is likely to happen after Pongal 2016.
