AFTER 34 YEARS, A SEQUEL OF A COMEDY FLICK

Manal Kayiru is a 1982 film directed by Visu that featured S Ve Shekher, Shanthi Krishna and Visu himself along with others. The film was about the conditions put forth by a young man for his marriage and how he gets fooled in every aspect of this. It was a humorous take on the arranged marriages with sensibilities of that period. The film was quite a popular one.

A pooja of the sequel of this film happened some time back. S Ve Shekher recently updated in his social media about the film. He says,

“After 34 years, I will be doing the same Kittu Mani role with Visu as Naradhar Naidu in Manal Kayiru 2, which would come out as the next generation story represented by Ashwin Shekher in the lead. Thenandal Films will be presenting this with Madhan Kumar's direction”.

The director Madhan had earlier helmed the youth-centric adult comedy Yaaruda Mahesh.
