THE POWERFUL LINES IN KABALI'S INTRO SONG ...

Dance choreographer - actor Sathish Krishnan has been bestowed with the honor of choreographing all the songs in the Superstar Rajini starrer Kabali. He had recently been to Malaysia to choreograph the Superstar's intro song in the film. We have a chat with Sathish on his Kabali experience and the Rajini effect,

 

"I was speechless initially and it took some time for me to recover from my 'fan boy' mode and concentrate on work. Rajini sir talked to me, inquired about my training days and eased my nerves. I keep recollecting those 4 days that I worked with him in Malaysia. I grew up watching his movies and songs, and all of us wanted to prove our worth while working with him. On the last day, he came and said that the experience was so fresh and youthful. That made my day.

 

Kabilan sir has written the lyrics for this intro song and I am in love with it for being so powerful and impactful. The new sound from Santhosh Narayanan is another highlight.

 

I have kept Rajini sir's fans in mind and also made sure that it doesn't go out of the script one bit. That's a factor in all Ranjith sir's films. I am sure that fans would love it as I myself have screamed for his intro songs as a fan.

 

Rajini sir is playing his age and that makes Kabali all the more special. There won't be extravagant factors and many dancers around. The intro song would be in tune with the current trend, with elements which his hardcore fans would love."

 

Sathish also worked on all the songs in the director's earlier Madras. Kabali's songs would be interspersed with apt montage shots and scenes, and not just dance moves.
