After the huge disaster caused by rain in Chennai, celebrities are lending their hands to the needy people. Among Bollywood superstars, after Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, the 'Khiladi' of Bollywood, actor Akshay Kumar has done his part by giving Rs. 1 Crore for Chennai Flood Relief.
After seeing the shocking visuals of rain affected Chennai, Akshay wanted to help the people and he called director Priyadarshan to go by the procedure. In return, Priyadarshan connected him to Suhasini Maniratnam on this regard for further proceedings.
After Suhasini Maniratnam's suggestion, Akshay has donated Rs. 1 Crore to Bhoomika Trust who are doing extensive food preparation and distribution in Chennai.
