BREAKING - AKSHAY KUMAR JOINS SHANKAR - SUPERSTAR'S ENTHIRAN 2.0

The much-awaited shooting of India's biggest movie, the Superstar Rajinikanth starrer, director Shankar's next magnum opus "2.0", the sequel of Enthiran - The Robot has finally started in Chennai on 16th of December.

 

The producers of this film Lyca Productions were planning a grand launch for the film, but due to the recent Chennai floods, the makers decided to start the shoot in an extremely simple manner.

 

Superstar Rajinikanth and the lead lady Amy Jackson were shooting for the film when Akshay Kumar who is doing an equally important role in the film and chairman of Lyca Group Mr. Subashkaran, Oscar Award winner A.R.Rahman and others, joined the crew consisting of cinematographer Nirav Shah, Art Director Muthuraj and VFX Supervisor Srinivas Mohan.

 

Ace dialogue writer Jayamohan is paring up with Shankar for the first time. Editing is handled by Antony while Oscar Award winner Resul Pookutty is handling the sound designing. 

 

The movie is being shot in 3D, with top techinicians from all over the globe, making it a world class film. Legacy Effects from USA, the World's No.1 Animatronics company who worked on movies like Jurassic Park, Iron Man and Avengers have been signed on for this movie. Special costumes are being designed by Mary.E.Vogt who has done costumes for movies like Tron and Watchmen.

 

This team also consists of 'Transformers' fame action director Mr.Kenny Bates, and the VFX work is handled by 'Life of Pi' fame John Huges and Walt from Taufilms.
