This year's list consists of 2,043 people with a combined net worth of USD 7.67 trillion. So, let's see the Top 10 richest persons according to Forbes.
This year's list was topped by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. He has been the richest person in the world for 18 out of the past 23 years. Although Gates has stepped down as the Microsoft chairman, he still enjoys a fortune of $86 billion. His fortune has increased by 11 billion since last year
Bill Gates is followed by Berkshire Hathaway chief Warren Buffet. Also known as Known as the "Oracle of Omaha", Buffet enjoys a net worth of $75.6 billion.
Amazon's chief Jeff Bezos has soared to the third spot this year with a total estimated wealth of $72.8 billion. Quick fact: Bezos owns nearly 17% of Amazon.com
Known as the richest man in Europe, Amancio Ortega comes in the fourth spot with an estimated wealth of $ 71.3 billion. Ortega is also the owner of Spanish soccer team Deportivo La Coruna.
