A United Nations report released in 2014 revealed the countries with largest youth population in the world. According to the reports, there are 1.8 billion young people in the world between the ages of 10 and 24. Interestingly, 9 in 10 of the world’s young population live in less developed countries.
8. BANGLADESH
Bangladesh is the eighth country with largest youngest population in the world having 48 million young people.
7. BRAZIL
Brazil, the largest South American nation, takes the seventh spot with 51 million young people.
6. NIGERIA
Nigeria, an African country on the Gulf of Guinea, is in the sixth place with 57 million young people.
5. PAKISTAN
Pakistan holds the fifth spot in the list with 59 million young people.
4. UNITED STATES
The United States, the only most developed nation in the list, has taken the fourth place with 65 million young people.
3. INDONESIA
Indonesia takes the third spot in the list with 67 million people between ages 10 and 24.
2. CHINA
China, the world’s most populous country, comes second in the list with 269 million young people.
1. INDIA
India tops the list with 356 million young people as the country of world’s largest youth population.
