Blue whale challenge game was  created by Philipp Budeikin in 2013 in Russia. In this game, the player has to complete 50 tasks given by admin of this game. After completing all 49 tasks, the 50th task is to kill self. Till now 130 deaths have been reported because of Blue whale globally and out of which three are from India.

Reportedly, a 19-year-old college student in Madurai was found hanging at his residence. The police suspects that the teen would have been playing the game 'Blue Whale Challenge' as a tattoo of the same was found in his hand. Reportedly, the boy has written saying that the blue whale challenge is not a game and it is dangerous, and one cannot escape after starting. The case is under investigation. According to media reports, three deaths have been claimed in India because of the game. The government has asked Google, Microsoft, and Facebook to remove the links of the game.

The recent death of the 19-year-old in Madurai due to Blue Whale challenge reportedly was clung to his phone for the past few days and would go missing very often from his family. According to media reports, the boy's brother whenever asked him about the game, Vignesh would say that it is a different game, and it's hard but never mentioned that it was Blue Whale. Police on Thursday reportedly found an other Blue Whale image in the bathroom which was drawn with a cleaning liquid. According to Times of India, A man from the village claimed that Vignesh and his friends were playing the game and would discuss it over in WhatsApp group with 75 members. His friends knew that Vignesh was in the final stage of the game warned him about the suicide, but Vignesh reportedly said his friends that he would survive the challenge and win the game.

According to media reports, Niveditha a 24-year-old woman jumped from the 7th floor of the building and landed in the car park. The investigative officers probe that this suicide attempt is linked with the game 'Blue Whale Challenge'. Reportedly the neighbors told the police that the girl looked depressed last few days. The police alleged that the girl was admitted to a private hospital and is out of danger.

Blue whale is a game that psychologically provokes and manipulates a person to take their own life. There have been reports of death because of Blue Whale in other countries. This game was created in Mexico.

With growing cases of the deadly suicide game, Chennai Police have reportedly issued a red alert for parents to have a close watch on their children and their social media activity. While the game cannot be played without openly posting particular hashtags on social media, cases of suicides related to blue whale challenge are still being reported.

Finally Blue Whale game Admin arrested in Moscow

Police have detained Ilya Sidorov, the admin of the Blue Whale game which claimed over 130 deaths around the world, on Thursday in Moscow. According to media reports, several Computers, mobile phones, tablets, and sim cards have been seized as evidence. On investigation, the 26-year-old accused clarified that he was not the only admin but a group of 32 members. Reportedly, Sidorov was creating tasks aimed at hurting one self and trigger them to suicide. Sidorov is not the only admin who was arrested, Phillip Budeikin was held by Russian police for provoking 16 school girls to kill themselves, a report says.
