Here are a few important points mentioned in the medical report submitted the AIIMS and Apollo hospital doctors, who treated Jayalalithaa in Apollo hospital.
A call was made to the Apollo helpline from Poes Garden on September 22, 2016, informing about the ill health of late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
After the call, Apollo medical personnel reached Poes Garden residence and found Jayalalithaa drowsy. The then CM was immediately taken to the hospital.
After Jayalalithaa had been rushed to Apollo, the doctors did not find her physically attacked or pushed down by someone.
Doctors found Jayalalithaa suffering from infection and dehydration. She was admitted to the Multidisciplinary Critical Care Unit.
AIIMS doctors have mentioned in the report that Jayalalithaa had fluid in her lungs and was put on life support. Later, her condition improved and she was able to sit on a chair for 20 minutes and became fully conscious.
Jayalalithaa suffered a Massive cardiac arrest at around 4.30 pm on December 5, 2016, said AIIMS doctors in the report. After her condition worsened, the doctors decided not to continue ECMO support. Jayalalithaa passed away at 11.30 PM on December 5, 2016, added the report.
