ANURAGA KARIKKIN VELLAM MOVIE REVIEW

Anuraga Karikkin Vellam is an ideal feel good movie crammed with the essence of life. Simple but sweet, the movie showcases the life of city dwellers, their friendships, love affairs and breakups.
 

The plot of the movie revolves around Abhilash (Asif Ali) and Elizabeth (Rajisha Vijayan). Abhilash decides to end his relationship with Elizabeth aka Eli and the consequent turn of events forms the story of the movie. The director Khalid Rahman has handled the well written screenplay with expertise. He has made every actor outperform themselves and live their roles. Naveen Bhaskar, the writer takes a simple, realistic story and presents it with a youthful charm.
 

The frames set by Jimshi Khalid have freshness to them. The beauty of Kochi has been captured and keeps the audience occupied. Prasanth Pillai's songs are good and surely will remain in the hit charts for a long time. The appropriate background score is equally appealing to all kinds of audience.
 

Be it the short-tempered police officer or the compassionate family man, Biju Menon once again establishes that he is a versatile actor and any such role is safe with him. His effortless dialogue delivery and comedy timing are top of the line and is the center pillar of the movie. Asha Sarath is exquisite as a submissive wife and an anxious mother. Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi generate laughter with grace and augment the richness of the movie. Abhilash is Asif Ali's answer to his critics; he delivers a better performance than what he normally does and thus is special.

But Rajisha Vijayan steals everyone's thunder with her impeccable performance as Eli. Her transformation from the annoying girlfriend to a matured young lady is superb and memorable.

The title Anuraga Karikkin Vellam is apt for the movie as it has the sweetness of love in it. It is a must watch and is like a simple unputdownable book that you'll fall in love with.
