What is it about?
'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' is a docu-drama on Sachin's biography directed by James Erskine. It starts with childhood days of Sachin portraying his notorious childhood days. Gradually from a notorious kid, Sachin builds interest in cricket. Sachin's brother Ajith Tendulkar who influences Sachin to go for cricket training as he feels Sachin can build more skills in cricket and become a great cricketer someday.

Sachin: A Billion Dreams stands by the title name; it showcases the ambitious Sachin and his billion dreams. Sachin's struggle, mental stress, cricket, family, friends and many more interesting portrayals are completely new which build anticipation among the audiences while they watch the film.

What makes up the film?
The film is perfectly packaged with lots of emotions, a tough and ambitious cricketer and his determination to win a world cup for the country. The beauty of the film is the periodic phase of the screenplay which brings few social and political references of India and how that affects Indian cricket and also Sachin's performances. Sachin as a son, Sachin as a brother, Sachin as a husband, Sachin as a friend and Sachin as a father. The movies show all possible dimensions of Sachin.

What didn't work?
Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a docu-drama, the genre might be new for some section of the audiences. Docu-dramas are normally slow in its screenplay, so for someone who is seeing Sachin: A Billion Dreams as a regular commercial film will be disappointed.

Next, Sachin is India's greatest sports legend, and it is obvious that everyone would know about him. This biography, of course, spells some interesting unknown facts about Sachin and Indian cricket, but it could have been more, just a few facts may not be enough to convince regular movie lovers.

What worked?
For Sachin's fan and cricket lovers, this biopic is a treat. There are a lot of goosebump moments in the film. The backup stories behind each of Sachin's match is a delight to watch. AR Rahman's score is another big positive for the film with Sachin's visuals make this film a must watch.

Well?
Sachin: A Billion Dreams is about Sachin's biography and Sachin's ambitious journey with a goal to become world's best cricketer. The film has all the ingredients to satisfy not just Sachin's fans or cricket lovers but also to others.

Verdict: A classical masterpiece of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
