We had reported earlier that, actor Vishal has decided to participate in RK Nagar’s by-election. The recent updates with respect to his nomination and participation at RK Nagar’s by-election are that Vishal has paid respect to the former CM Kamarajar with a garland.

He has also paid respect to former CM MG Ramachandran at his residence and headed to late CM J Jayalalithaa's memorial. He has stated that he is contesting in RK Nagar to fulfill the basic needs of the people at RK Nagar. Meeting the media, he has said that he is not a politician and that he is just a representative of the people.
