With Movie halls in Tamilnadu going on an indefinite strike due to inflation in the Municipal taxes from today (July 3rd), TFPC President Vishal, Abirami Ramanathan, President, Tamil Film Chamber of Commerce and few other important members met the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Edapadi Palanisamy to request the state government to remove the Municipal Tax levied on the Movie tickets.

 

The members met the Chief Minister at 4 PM today and our sources inform that talks ended up negative as there isn't much change to the proposed tax.  But, this is still not the final call and the team is expected to meet again tomorrow at 3 pm with the concerned government officials,  which will decide the final verdict on this issue.
