We had reported earlier that, there is a proposal to add on a 10% Entertainment tax apart from the already existing GST. This as many had discussed will prove to be detrimental for both theatre owners and for the entire film circuit in general.
Following this, a press not has been issued which states that tomorrow (October 3, 2017), there will be a meeting held between the theatre owners of Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur to discuss regarding this issue. Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
