Director Ike’s film Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae (SBKT), starring Jiiva and Sri Divya is all set to hit the screens on this Friday, May 19. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Ike was asked about the censor experience. The director talked about the decision of the Central Board of Film Certification to edit out a rolling scene in his SBKT. Ike said:

We make movies to entertain people and not to convey something wrong. Even in my Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, the censor board asked me to remove a scene. Hero Jiiva and heroine Sri Divya will fight for a chalk. When 8 people fight for a chalk, at least 2 people will naturally tend to get close and my film had a shot of them rolling. They told me that the rolling was not necessary. I am not comparing with other films but this is nothing compared to many other scenes that we have watched. Plus, in SBKT, both the hero and heroine will be fully clothed and this happens in the hall of the house so there is nothing to hide. In fact, the usage of the word ‘Pei’ (ghost) is apparently not allowed in a horror film.
