PADMAVAT CONTROVERSY: CBFC CHIEF CAUGHT IN A LEGAL ISSUE!

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavat, after a lot of struggle, has got its release date of January 25, 2018. However, reports now suggest that the latest issue related to the film is with the CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi who is now facing a legal issue for not responding to a PIL summon that the court had sent, over the release of Padmavat.


The Allahabad High Court has reportedly issued a contempt notice to Prasoon Joshi (Chairman of CBFC), in connection with the release of Padmavat. It is said that Joshi who was given three weeks time for filing his response to this case, failed to do so. The film starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor is facing a ban in four states - Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.
